Rishikesh (India)

Rishikesh, located on the foothills of the Himalaya mountains is a quiet little spiritual town. Known for yoga and its clean and cold Ganges water, Rikishesh is a welcomed break from the loud and crowded city.

Northern India Food Adventure

Finally made it to India. This country is absolutely fascinating with its fair share of the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm very much enjoying my time here and find the country to be extremely interesting and unique.

Twinings Tea Time (Bangkok, Thailand)

We had a couple of lazy days during our stay in Bangkok so I decided to take the time and treat myself to some nice tea and a good book. I saw the Twinings outlet in Central World last time I was here so I was excited to finally be able to try it.

The service at Twinings was great , as was the tea. They offered an extensive menu of teas, tea blends, afternoon tea sets, and petite deserts. I ordered the Lady Great tea which was similar to earl Greg but had more notes of orange and lemon. It was very good and served in a cute individual tea set with a heater, strainer, and choice of sugar.

Timer for my tea to make sure those loose leaf steeps enough

They had the cutest afternoon tea sets which I desperately wanted to order but I'll save it for next time when I have Coel with me to enjoy it with.

Great Vegetarian Find in MBK (Bangkok, Thailand)

While I'm not a vegetarian at home, I tend to try and be as vegetarian as I can when traveling. I found a great vegetarian stall at the MBK food court that serves up some great veggie dishes at a great price. Loved it so much I had to go back the next day for lunch.

Chatuchak Market (Bangkok, Thailand)

I know I have done several posts from my past visits on Chatuchak Weekend Market, but what can I say? It is one of my favorite places in the world. This market has EVERYTHING. It was so hard to not buy a luggage full of goodies since this was just the first stop on my travel itinerary. Some of the odd items I ended up buying, which I now have to carry around for the rest of my trip, include a large ceramic serving dish and a map if South East Asia. Smart move. But I would regret it if I didn't buy it.

Fell in love with all this dishware
